Already gearing up for the 2018 Winter PyeongChang Olympics? Share a s’more provided by Hershey’s with your favorite Olympians! Dallas is one of only 11 US cities to host the Team USA Winterfest where fans can meet members of a few of the USA Olympic teams, including Todd Eldridge from the figure skating team and Natasha Hastings from the track and field team. Also, attendees can participate in the Oreo Curling Challenge for the chance to win a trip the Park City, UT. Stick around for a free concert in the park featuring AMY JACK and The Remington Band and experience the virtual reality tour that lets you feel what it’s like to ride in a bobsled!
PurpleStride DFW 2017

Every year Dallas hosts the PurpleStride event which includes a 5k walk around Downtown Dallas starting at Klyde Warren Park. Presented by Bell Nunally & Martin LLP, the PurpleStride event is one of the largest sources of funding for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Pancreatic cancer is the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related death in the US. This year, the DFW goal is to raise $542,000. Help them reach their goal and show your support for those affected by pancreatic cancer by registering for the event this month!
Journey to Space at the Perot Museum

As the temperature drops, adventures continue indoors at the Perot Museum with their new exhibit, Journey to Space, presented by the Science Museum of Minnesota and the California Science Center, with support from NASA. Get a feel for what it’s like to live in the International Space Station’s Destiny module in the exhibits 10,000 square feet space and two giant rotating labs. This fun, hands-on experience is great for children of all ages, so grab your kids and get ready to blast off into space!

A part of the Off Broadway On Flora 2017/18 series, GOBSMACKED! is an a cappella group featuring international and world-renowned vocalists. Gobsmacked performed sold out shows in London, Hong Kong, and Edinburgh, and EdFest Magazine said it was, “better than Glee… Mesmerizing!” This modern a cappella show tells an urban tale of love, loss, and redemption. Shaken, Stirred, Styled: The Art of the Cocktail

Shaken, Stirred, Styled: The Art of the Cocktail exhibit is on display at the Dallas Museum of Art and presents the culture behind making, serving, and sipping cocktails for hundreds of years. This two-day event features 60 pieces predominantly found at the DMA extensive design holdings that trace the stylistic rituals in cocktail creation, many of which are on display for the first time. The pieces range from 19th century punch bowls to Prohibition-era cocktail shakers and modern barware. Don’t miss this intoxicating exhibit, only around for a short time!
